Friday Favorites 10.30.20

In my book, Friday is the best day of the week. To celebrate, I'll be sending a Friday Favorites email at the end of each work week, filled with seven of my favorite things at the moment. The Friday Favorites will live here on the blog so you can always come back and see them!

This list will be short, sweet and fun. It will include some products I've tried myself, as well as some that I certainly wish I could try. The list will mostly focus on reasonably-priced items that will instantly elevate your home, wardrobe or life (this feels dramatic but I'm not sure how else to put it!). From time to time, I'll throw in some great splurge items and trends I'm loving, too.

I hope you look forward to it every week, simply for inspiration, a fun work break or as a resource to find your new favorite product. As the holidays approach, the list might also be helpful for some gift hunting.

If you have any favorites that I need to know about, shoot me an email with the product info and a note on why you love it! Reach me at caroline@contemporarie.com.

Let's get started with our first Friday Favorites.

Gingham Plaid Tights from Atlantic-Pacific

If you're not already following Atlantic-Pacific for style inspiration, you're missing out. She loves color, pattern and texture and somehow always finds a way to make them work together in an unconventional way. She currently has a bright, bold collection with Nordstrom, which is where I found the tights.

Butterfly Artwork from Chairish

To those who love anything vintage, unique and one-of-a-kind, Chairish is a must. The site boats a assortment of extraordinary vintage, antique and contemporary pieces from best-in-class designer brands, dealers, galleries and artisans.

While much on the site isn't very budget-friendly, it is a great spot to look for a splurge piece. That being said, the artwork actually can be pretty affordable. This butterfly is just under $200 and would be worth every penny. The colors in this are so fun -- imagine it in a wallpapered powder bath, above a crib in a nursery or mixed in a gallery wall.

Moody Velvets and Bold Paint Colors

I'm very much into this look right now. Maybe it is the fall weather making me ache for a moody, textured space like this. If you want more, follow @contemporarie on Pinterest because this seems to be theme of my pins right now.

Lucite Domino Set from Anthropologie

Have I ever really played dominoes? No. But this lucite set from Anthropologie is such an eye-catcher that it makes me want to try.

Styling is always elevated with a few unique items, a category to which this domino set definitely applies. If you're looking for a new addition to the shelves or table in your office or game room, this set would be perfect!

Studio McGee x Target Framed Canvas

This little canvas is the best. The size is perfect for a little nook or the spot above a door or window. I actually own this one and have it above the window in my kitchen (photo coming soon!). It reminds me of the small, antique paintings I often see at estate sales -- without the price tag. The landscape is timeless, so I highly recommend investing in this piece on your next Target run.

This Hot Pink Crewneck Sweater

I actually bought this sweater for part of my Halloween costume but knew I'd wear it way beyond this Saturday. So far, it isn't itchy at all and fits true-to-size, although I do have to say it is a little on the short side, which makes me inclined to pair it with something high-waisted. I can't wait to wear it with some bright red lipstick!

Black Diamonds

Consider the Wldflwrs is where my engagement rings and wedding bands are from. They are hands-down my favorite jeweler ever. Everything they sell is so unique, including these black diamonds. If you have an anniversary coming up or if someone is looking to splurge on a holiday gift for you, send them here for a unique piece of jewelry you'll keep forever.
