Friday Favorites: 03.26.21

If you don't know by now, I love Anthropologie. The items they sell are unique and high-quality. I worked there in 2014 and still wear clothes and jewelry I bought during that time.

They're hosting 40% off their sale section right now, which is big-time. I've decided to pick seven items from the sale to highlight today! Things to know...

1) The prices in the sale section don't reflect the extra 40% off. You'll see that discount once you add an item to your cart.

2) Read the reviews. Most of these items were chosen to be on sale due to their rough reviews, so read them and determine if you should still purchase. For example, I had a gorgeous cake stand on the list for $29 until I read the reviews about how badly it smelled. On the other hand, I also read reviews complaining about flowy dresses being too big when ordered in someone's regular size but working great if they sized down.

3) This 40% off sale is my time to stock up on generic gifts and goodies to keep on hand for birthdays, etc. Doing this keeps my end of the year holiday budget from becoming such a big expense at one time. Journals, candles, mugs, scarves, jewelry and travel accessories are great items to put in your "gift box."

Marlowe Jersey Quilt

I really like this quilt. The colors are warm and inviting and the ruffles give it a cool texture. It doesn't have any reviews, which is risky, but the material is the same construction that's on my Anthropologie quilt in my guest bedroom, which is incredibly soft and a little stretchy. The Euro shams are also available in the sale.

Elago AirPods Hanging Case

Sometimes life is about the little luxuries. I love my AirPods case and think it is a good purchase for less than $6, in this case. The hook is very convenient to clip onto something when walking or traveling.

Sanctuary Tie-Dye Mock Neck Sweater

I purchased this sweater from the sale. I love the shape of it -- notice how it is tighter around the waist and matches the detail on the neck and sleeves. It is casual enough to wear with joggers or relaxed jeans. I'm also on a purple kick, so it is perfect.

Hotel Magique Collaboration

Hotel Magique is a really cool brand that Anthro recently collaborated with. One of my followers actually sent me a link to an item from the collection, which sparked the sale-section theme of the newsletter.

This dishtowel might actually look cute framed due to its scalloped edge and bright colors. It is more of a decorative towel to put on display than one for heavy-duty use. The throw blanket is bold and will need a pretty specific room/color scheme to work, but it would be great in the right spot!

Verna Brushed Tie-Front Pullover

This is a great example of an "elevated basic." I love how they styled it with a white button down. It is hand wash only, which should be taken into account.

Deepa Valencia Post Earrings

These earrings are awesome! They're unique and bold and clearly well-made, plus, they could be easily dressed up or down. The reviews are all positive and conclude that these are "a steal" at a sale price.

Cost: $41.97

Blossom Chandelier

I have never bought a light fixture from Anthropologie because I can always get a better deal elsewhere. That being said, the sale prices are great and bring the price down to a much more reasonable level.

This blossom chandelier is gorgeous and will add a lot of personality to a room. I'm not sure how much light it will produce, but it would be good for a powder bath, hallway or other small room.
